Around 8:00 p.m. local time, 2,000 cadets and officers from the Air Force Training School reported seeing unusual lights, and reports came in from two airliners.
We believe you have already noticed this, in recent months the highest government authorities around the world have begun to speak openly about the phenomenon of unidentified flying objects.

In the week before us, there is a hearing before the Brazilian Senate, and the public will be informed for the first time from that room about the intriguing case that happened on May 19, 1986 near Sao Paulo.

That night, as many as 21 UFOs appeared in the sky, and the first signs of something unusual were noticed by the air traffic controller of the Brazilian forces, Sergeant Sergio Mota da Silva.

Mota da Silva spotted a light in the sky that didn’t move, to which controllers at Sao Paulo International Airport confirmed they had no idea what was going on.

The sergeant then dimmed the runway lights, causing the object to approach the port, so Mota still thinks it was some kind of communication attempt.

In any case, around 8:00 p.m., about two thousand Air Force Training School cadets and officers reported seeing unusual lights in the sky, and reports came in from two airliners.

What, the Brazilians soon raised three Mirage F-103 fighter jets, but the fighter pilots were left completely confused by the sequence of events. They were ordered to intercept the objects, but that mission proved simply impossible.

“Something incredible began to happen. There were times when our pilots reported visual contact with objects, but the radars did not pick them up at the time. But the opposite happened. That the objects were spotted by the radars but not by our pilots,” Mota told the BBC.
One of the planes during the attack reached a speed of a thousand kilometers per hour, but as it approached the UFO, the object accelerated and reached 15 times the speed of sound! Lieutenant Kleber Caldas Marinho also had a close encounter, but he did not manage to approach the unknown aircraft.

Testimonies claim that the UFOs were nearly a hundred meters wide, and the aviation champions of the time shrugged and said they never found an explanation for what they saw.

“The fact is that they never tried to attack us. In fact, they played cat and mouse with us that night,” concluded Brazilian ufologist Ademar José Gevaerd.
