The Facebook news feed of many users was flooded with bizarre posts this morning.

The folks at Facebook have finally come forward and explained why there were global problems with their feed this morning.

“Earlier today, a configuration change caused an issue for some Facebook Feed users. We resolved the issue as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience,” explained Meta’s Technology Communications Manager Alexandru Voica.

As a reminder, the news feed of many users this morning was flooded with bizarre posts from the pages of celebrities such as Taylor Swift or Eminem. Problems are also reported on the Down Detector page.
