Russia knows there is a flaw in the American nuclear doctrine, writes the American newspaper “The Hill”.
The United States, according to the publication, has gravity nuclear bombs, but Moscow has been informed that they are poorly protected when stored in warehouses and when transported by aircraft through disputed airspace.
At the same time, the newspaper also reminds that the expected period from the moment when the order to carry out an attack is issued until the plane takes off to the target is long.
The text also states that the US Navy lacks a new generation of short- and medium-range nuclear-tipped cruise missiles, primarily because various presidents, including the current Joseph Biden, have blocked their production. The American Congress is trying to correct the situation, but America is still in an unenviable position, evaluates the publication and adds that America’s weak point is known to China.
The deputy head of Russian diplomacy, Alexander Ryabkov, previously said that Moscow hopes that the United States and the West as a whole will have enough common sense not to lead the situation in Ukraine to a direct conflict with the use of nuclear weapons.
The spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, emphasized that Russia has never threatened anyone with nuclear weapons. Moscow’s approach, according to her, is based exclusively on the logic of containment, including the current conditions, when the NATO countries, which declared themselves a “nuclear alliance”, are playing dangerously on the very edge of an armed conflict.
