DENVER, SOMBOR – Serbian basketball player Nikola Jokic has been chosen as the most valuable player (MVP) of the NBA league for the second time in a row, it was officially announced on the website of the strongest basketball competition in the world, reported by Tanjug.

As reported, Jokic received 875 points in the voting (65 first places) and won over Philadelphia center Jael Embidi, who won 706 points (26 first places) and Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo with 595 (nine first places).

Jokic averaged 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists this season.

This season, the Serbian became the first player in the history of the league with at least 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 500 assists and the 13th basketball player in history with two consecutive NBA MVP awards.

On this occasion, Jokic was very surprised by the people of Denver, led by coach Mike Malone, general manager Kelvin Bott and owner Stan Kroenko, who came to Sombor and presented him with the award.
