English media mention the name of the possible new owner.

Currently, a consortium of several investors, led by 86-year-old Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss , worth $5.1 billion, has the best chance of buying the club. Wyss confirmed to the Swiss media that he had been offered to buy the famous English club.

“Abramovich is trying to sell all his villas in England , and he is also getting rid of Chelsea . On Tuesday I received an offer to buy the club together with three other investors. Of course I am interested, but first I need to analyze everything well and then make a decision. “I certainly won’t buy the club by myself, there will probably be six or seven of us,” said Wyss .

He studied at Harvard, started a successful business

Hansjorg Wyss studied at Harvard and after his studies started a business in the steel industry and aircraft sales. After that, in 1977, he founded the company Synthes USA , which was engaged in the production of medical devices. Meanwhile, it became one of the most successful in the world, and in 2012 he sold it to Johnson & Johnson for $19.7 billion in cash and stock.

Billionaire LA Dodgers co-owner Todd Boehly is one of the mega-rich businessmen working with Wyss in a bid to buy Chelsea  from Roman Abramovich , according to reports from The Island.

Russian oligarch Abramovich has signaled his intention to sell following his country’s invasion of Ukraine , amid threats of potential British government sanctions.

The club – who are currently European and world champions – are said to be valued at over £3bn, and Wyss revealed on Wednesday morning that he is already in talks to buy the Premier League giants .
